French, whimsical and feminine interior products inspired by my love for vintage France and old French linen.
Using ttv photography, stitch and watercolours, I design and make everything from my barn conversion here in rural Charente in South West France.
My background is embroidered and woven textiles - I am starting to weave again soon so look out for some brand new products!

My favourite medium and basis of my Etsy shop is beadwork. I love working with beads, especially tiny seed beads and can happily spend hours with needle and thread and an array of beads spread in front of me, letting ideas take shape.

"la" sabine behind la marquise des angesI am a 34 years old and married to a very patient and supportive husband. I am also the proud owner of two naughty cats and one loving dog. Before embarking on my Etsy business, I worked in International Trade and later in Tourism Industry . The work was exciting, but left little time for a private life. I also love to read, cook, dance, craft, laugh, and I must say I am passionated by almost everything.... :-)
how did the adventure begin ...I have an addiction for all things "crafty and creative" and has had this creative appetite since I was a little girl. I embellish, adorn, sew, create all the time. First I made things for myself , then my folks and then requests from friends and friends of friends, etc. People in her life continued to encourage Sabine to being her own boutique, especially her husband. She says, "One day I woke up and told myself, 'let's start this new adventure.'
Not only I feel "alive" when creating, I also feel "alive" in the midst of running my own business. Even when things are stressful and moments aren't "heaven on earth," I feel so excited and motivated. I relish how I feel/sense each cell in my body ... I . enjoy making my very own decisions and above all I love to be in contact with so many great people.
La marquise des anges name and a little anecdote :marquise means "marchioness" , it is a noblewoman ranking above a countess and below a duchess.
and ange means ... angel.
la marquise des anges could be translated as the machioness of angels.
it comes from an old movie, a little old fashioned but it is related to one of my very very favorite childhood memory ...when I was sitting on a decades old sofa, in between my beloved grand father and grandmother...watching this movie (it is a serie of movies) which was my grandfather's favorite ..; each year we used to had this little precious traditional momen together.
when I close my eyes and remember this lovely moment, I can feel my grand mother 's hand on my knee with tenderness, I can smell her fragrance, a combination of lavender and homemade apple pie, as weel as the sweet blend of my grand father's tobacco pipe ...

My first match!
Well yes, this is the first time that I create something thinking about a possible combination to be worn together ...maybe because I've never worn a full set but only one thing at a time.... or many things, but all different .....
these colors, reminds us, the spring, and the desire of the summer ...
for those who love bright colors and fresh ... I love these colors!
is my feeling, but these last months have passed too quickly, I already feel that summer is near!
Perhaps I should mention Valentine's Day, the Red, of hearts and sweet ... but I have so much desire for a vacation, that my mind is already projected on a white sand beach and crystal sea .....
ops ... my mind is in the clouds .....
back to us ... Valentine is in a little while, so it's time to prepare something romantic and special ... and I'm also late, I have not done anything yet ....
in the meantime I show you my first treasury dedicated to Love!
